WHAT WE BELIEVE
We are a Word &
Spirit
Church

What does that mean?
We believe in the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation, we do not add to it or take anything away from it. We believe it's alive and active in a believer's life to sanctify us and guide us in all truth. We also believe that without the power of the Holy Spirit working in us, we are unable to successfully live a godly life. It's important to walk in all the gifts that the Spirit gives in order to accomplish the work of the ministry of bringing God's Kingdom to earth. We want to live abundant lives, walk the narrow path and experience the freedom that God has for his children, while sharing the Good News of the Gospel! Both the Word & Spirit are necessary to do that. The marriage of the Word & Spirit is the cornerstone of all we do at Relentless.
GOD
About God
There is only one God Who is eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent, "I AM" -- one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22
JESUS
About Jesus
The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin, Mary, and is God's Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God's Kingdom on earth. He led a sinless life, even though he faced all of the same temptations we do. He was crucified for our sins, died was buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven, and in now alive today, in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is "true God" and "true man".
Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 7:26, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Matthew 28:6, Romans 5:12-21
HOLY
SPIRIT
About Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit and by His indwelling in a believer, we are empowered to live a holy life and minister supernaturally. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is poured out on believers that they might have the power to be witnesses. He gives each believer gifts for the work of the ministry.
1 Corinthians 12:1-31, John 14:16-17, Acts 2
About the Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to mankind, the infallible and authoritative rule of faith and conduct. Every page of the Bible reveals God's design to bring salvation to mankind through Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:15-16, 1 Peter 2:2
About Baptism
Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, established two ordinances for the Church to follow: Water Baptism and Communion. Baptism in water, by full immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord. It is for all believers. This holy act identifies the believer with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection.
Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47-48, Romans 6:4, Acts 20:21, Hebrews 10:22
About Salvation
The victorious redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy's sin, lies, sickness and torment.
Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16,
Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8-9
About Communion
Jesus calls us to participate in communion regularly until His return. Only believers can come to the Table of the Lord, which consists of the bread and the cup, The bread--His body, which was broken for us. The cup--His blood that was shed for us. Both elements are witnesses of the New Covenant believers now enjoy while we declare and wait for His soon return.
2 Peter 1:4, 1 Corinthians 11:26
About Sanctification
The Bible teaches us that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe that sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, starting at salvation and coming to completion at Christ's return.
Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 1 Corinthians 1:30, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Philippians 3:12-14
About Eternity
We know that heaven and hell are real places. There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost in the final judgement. The ones whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will have everlasting life and all those who don't will suffer everlasting punishment along with the devil and all his angels.
Revelation 19:20. Revelation 20:10-15, 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21, 22
